HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A prosecutor says a 19-year-old Wilburn man faces a second-degree murder charge in the fatal shooting at a party of a 17-year-old girl senior at Vilonia High School.

Deputy Prosecutor Holly Meyer said Tuesday that the charge was filed against Cody Lynn Gorecke, arrested after the death Saturday night of Amanda Allison at a house in Wilburn. Meyer said Gorecke also faces a weapons charge and an assault charge, both felonies, as well as three misdemeanor charges relating to alcohol and drugs.

Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss said Gorecke is being held at the county jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Moss said deputies arrested 18-year-old Jered Jones of Heber Springs and charged him Tuesday with criminal use of a prohibited weapon, accusing him of providing the weapon Gorecke used.
