Court date set for MO man accused of selling heroin

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KAIT) – A preliminary hearing has been set for a Stoddard County man accused of selling heroin.

According to the Southeast Missourian, Daniel Shemar Murray, 28, has a preliminary hearing set for March 16th.

An investigation involving Sikeston Department of Public Safety, along with the Drug Enforcement Agency, SEMO Drug Task Force and the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department revealed that a man was selling heroin in the Sikeston area.

On January 18th, officers served a search warrant on the suspect's home.  According to the report they found a large quantity of heroin and three handguns. 

Murray was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.  One count was through Scott County while the other count was through Mississippi County.
