BLOOMFIELD, MO (KFVS) - A woman is accused of endangering the welfare of her two children after she was arrested for driving while intoxicated 7:15 a.m. Monday.

Jessica D. Harms, 27, is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of driving while intoxicated.

Harms crashed her vehicle off of Highway 25 in Bloomfield and hit a tree.

Stoddard County Prosecutor Russ Oliver says Harms had her eight and six-year-old in the car with her.

"We were driving and my mom kept running off the road," said Harms' eight-year-old according to court documents.  "About the fourth time we went into the grass and into the trees."

Harms' speech was slurred and her eyes were glassy and staring, according to a report by the arresting state trooper.

Harms first told the trooper she had not taken any medication, then admitted to taking Percocet the night before, according to court documents.

The state trooper arrested Harms after she performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

A drug test has been sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Laboratory.

Harms' bond is set at $25,000.
