The establishment of a Home Instead Senior Care franchise in Northeast Arkansas began as a dream from my wife. She has always been involved in senior care as her mother has now lived in our house for over twenty years. Linda saw a need for a business that provides non-medical support services so that seniors may remain at home for longer periods of time. I retired from an active Ob/Gyn practice so that I could have the pleasure of working with my wife.

I came to Home Instead five years ago after 25 years in the Emergency Medical Field as a Paramedic. I also worked as an assistant administrator of a nursing home. Currently I oversee day to day operations and assist in hiring and client care. I do phone intakes and try to find out as much as possible about each client and family and their needs before we do a home visit.

I have been working with the Elderly for the past 20 years. I started out as a CNA working in a nursing home when I was 16. Over the years I have worked in all facets of Senior Care including home health, an Alzheimer's and Dementia treatment facility, End Care, nursing home care, and as a CAREGiver for Home Instead. I also worked in the emergency medical field as an EMT.

I currently handle client quality assurance visits…..by visiting at random clients at their home to make sure our caregivers are doing what they want and need. Any recommendations / comments are discussed with management to insure the best quality care both for the client and the caregiver. I also visit many of them on their birthdays and for special needs.. Birthday cards are sent to those not visited or out of the Jonesboro area.
