SEMO Men's Basketball will host Sacramento State in ESPNU BracketBusters on Feb. 19

From Southeast Missouri State University

Southeast Missouri will host Sacramento State as part of the ESPNU BracketBusters on Feb. 19. Game time is to be announced.

Southeast will meet Sacramento State for the first time this year.

"We are excited to be in this event," said Southeast head coach Dickey Nutt. "Right now, we are so consumed with our own team that it really doesn't matter who our opponent is. We welcome Sacramento State to Cape Girardeau."

Sacramento State is currently 5-16 overall and last place in the Big Sky Conference with a 2-8 mark. Four of the Hornets losses came in overtime this season.

All 10 Ohio Valley Conference teams will participate in this year's BracketBusters on Feb. 18-20. The ninth annual three-day men's college basketball event pitting potential NCAA Tournament hopefuls against each other will feature 11 nationally televised games - on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU - selected from a pool of 114 teams.

Austin Peay plays at Fairfield in a televised matchup, while the league's non-TV pairings include Eastern Illinois at Toledo, Eastern Kentucky at Western Carolina, Jacksonville State at Eastern Michigan, Morehead State at Indiana State, Evansville at Murray State, Sacramento State at Southeast Missouri, Delaware State at Tennessee State, Gardner-Webb at Tennessee Tech and Bradley at UT Martin.

Southeast is 0-5 all-time in BracketBuster games. The Redhawks lost at Miami (Ohio) in their last BracketBuster matchup on Feb. 20, 2010.
