SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Two men face charges after police find a large amount of crack cocaine and marijuana.

Officers stopped a suspected vehicle near W. North and Frisco Streets Wednesday afternoon.

As the officers approached the car they saw what appeared to be crack cocaine packaged in plastic baggies.

Two men were arrested for possessing 42.5 grams of crack cocaine and 7.7 grams of marijuana, packaged to sell.

Kevin D'Andre Martin, 30, of Sikeston and Cedric Johnson, 24, of Kennett were charged Thursday through the Scott County Courts with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Both men were given a $75,000 cash or surety bond and were taken to the Scott County Jail.

Due to the large quantity of crack cocaine, DPS is working with the DEA to see about getting this case prosecuted at the federal level.
