Out of the Dark program continues to grow

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - One Region 8 group says when it comes to drugs and alcohol abuse, it's time people came out of the dark. Skip Mooney, Junior is the driving force behind Out of the Dark, Incorporated.

The organization is made up of about 70 people developing action plans to combat drugs. Mooney says the group continues to grow, and the more people who volunteer, the sooner the drug problems will decrease.

"I've had several other communities that I've recently gone to speak to that wanted to start up coalitions in their counties also and we will do that eventually and just network everybody and we think we can make a big difference," Mooney says.

Mooney encourages everyone to step up and be part of the solution, not the problem.
