Winter Weather creates slick roads

Jonesboro, AR (KAIT) - A winter weather system that dumped snow in the deep south left much of Region 8 with a light coat of snow and slick roadways.

The Arkansas State Police and Missouri Highway Patrol are reporting a number of snow and ice covered roadways.  Driving conditions through at least the first half of Saturday will be impacted.  The temperature should reach above freezing during the afternoon hours and the partly sunny conditions should help dry the roads.

The dry conditions are not expected to last long.  Another round of winter weather is forecasted for Sunday into Monday and another system on Wednesday.
