GREENBRIER (AGFC) - Kayle Browning of Greenbrier is a former AYSSP competitor and a current member of the USA Shooting National Development Team.
Browning, 18, was a member of the 2009 USA Shooting National Team that won a bronze medal at the world championships. She won a Junior Olympic bronze medal in 2007 and a Junior Olympic silver medal in 2008. She was the 2010 junior women's national champion, and recently was No. 8 in women's trap shooting in the USA Shooting rankings.
"I have traveled to five countries shooting for our country in world cups," Browning said. "Although the AYSSP was not the beginning to my shooting career, it has been a very important part. Not only helping promote the AYSSP, but the friends I've made and the relationships with the directors and coaches will last a lifetime. It is the best youth shooting program in the nation and I am proud to have been a small part of it.
"I plan on continuing my shooting career by trying out for the 2012 Olympics and traveling to world cup events as part of the USA team."
