Police chase through Caruthersville lands two men in jail

CARUTHERSVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Friday night, Caruthersville officers noticed a car parked behind a closed business at 12th and Vests Streets.

When they tried to talk to the men inside, officers say the suspects floored it, nearly hitting an officer.When they tried to talk to the men inside, officers say the suspects floored it, nearly hitting an officer.

After police finally caught up with the men, they had to use a taser to get the 19-year-old driver out of the car.

He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.

While making the arrest, officers say Antonio Truss tried to incite onlookers to protest the arrest.

He was arrested and charged with willfully opposing a police officer.
