LONG ISLAND, NY (CNN) - Former Gov. Sarah Palin, D-AK, took a swipe at first lady Michelle Obama while complaining about the spike in food prices.
Obama has said she wants to promote breastfeeding as a way to reduce childhood obesity, opening the floodgates for economic criticism from Palin.
"No wonder Michelle Obama is telling people you'd better breastfeed your baby," Palin said. "Yeah, you'd better, because the price of milk is so high right now. Regardless of the political, do it for economic reasons."
Palin was addressing a group of New York business owners.
