LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Former state treasurer Jimmie Lou Fisher says her debt from her failed run for Governor last year is shrinking.

A spokeswoman says Fisher has raised enough to bring the debt from $270,000 to less than $100,000.  Fisher (a Paragould native) lost to Mike Huckabee last fall.

Former President Bill Clinton has appeared at three fundraisers for Fisher, which Fisher credits for her progress on paying the debt.  Fisher has held about two dozen events since the November election to raise money.
