Two people killed, another injured in 3 car accident

BONO, AR (KAIT) – Two people have been killed in an accident on Highway 63 just north of Bono.

According to Arkansas State Police, 63-year-old Ronald Parker and 68-year-old Gerald Guinn both of Senatobia, Mississippi, were traveling north on Highway 63 around noon when Parker's 1996 Porsche veered into the southbound lanes and struck a 2007 Toyota.  The Porsche then struck a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 27-year-old Carlos Perez of Jonesboro.

Parker and Guinn were killed.  The ASP has not released the name nor the condition of the person driving the Toyota.

Arkansas State Police shut Highway 63 down in both directions while crews worked the scene. All lanes have been reopened.

Arkansas State Police, Jonesboro Fire Department, Bono Fire Department, Valley View Fire Department and Medic One units were called to the scene to try and help extricate someone from a vehicle.
