WALNUT RIDGE, AR (WBC) - The Williams Baptist College men's basketball team had two players receive all-conference honors. Kyle Harvey made 1st Team All-American Midwest Conference, and Wes Livingston received Honorable Mention All-AMC. Three were named to the Academic All-Conference team.
Harvey, a sophomore forward, averaged 20 points per game during the 2010-11 season. He led the AMC in scoring and was ranked ninth nationally in scoring. He also led the Eagles in rebounding and blocked shots. Harvey is from Corning, Ark., and is the son of Kyle and Virginia Harvey of Corning.
Livingston, also a sophomore forward, averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game for the Eagles. He scored in double figures in 19 games and had more than 20 points in six contests. Livingston was second on the team in scoring, rebounding, block shots, and steals. He is from Paragould, Ark., and is the son of Dean and Donna Livingston of Paragould.
Garret Southerland, Ryan Windham and Alan Williams all were named to the Academic All-Conference team. To receive this honor an individual must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
The Eagles finished the season 11-17 and ranked sixth in the American Midwest Conference.
Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
