ASU office encourages people to talk about difficult topics

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A panel discussion took place at the Multicultural Building at Arkansas State University Wednesday.

Four students ranging in age, degrees, backgrounds and activities sat before an audience to talk about some of the challenges they face as women at ASU.

JoNece Carter is a junior and was one of the panelists.

JoNece feels these discussions give students a better understanding of problems and situations they may not have thought of.

"You get an idea of what people on campus feel. Maybe people have experienced things you haven't experienced or that you may experience as you get further into your education," Carter said.

Wednesday's discussion was the second in a three part series.

A third discussion will take place sometime in April on Religion.
