  • School Consolidation

An Arkansas legislator would like to create 75 school districts across the state. Each county would get one school district through administrative consolidation. A Poinsett County man was arrested after the prosecutor says he was creating and cashing fake checks for a total over $100,000. This is considered one of the biggest counterfeit busts in Region 8, and Josh Harvison will bring you more information about the ongoing investigation tonight on Region 8 News at 6 and 10.

    The Dunklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accidental shooting that killed a 10-year-old.  According to a press release, deputies received a 911 call around 7 pm from the parents stating their son had been accidentally shot by an AR-15 rifle.  The parents were transporting the child to the Twin Rivers Emergency Room from the Arbyrd area.
