Japanese handling of nuclear disaster worries U.S. officials

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KAIT) - Nuclear experts and officials in the U.S. are becoming worried over how Japan is handling the nuclear crisis after last week's earthquake and tsunami.

There is a worry that if Japanese workers are not able to get control of the situation within the next 24 to 48 hours, the result could be "deadly for decades."

In Washington, President Obama has been briefed by nuclear experts on the situation and the government has issued an evacuation order for all Americans both civilian and military from a 50 mile radius of the reactors.
