LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking public comments through April 17 on environmental documents relating to riverbank protection work on the White River near Batesville, Ark. The proposed work would protect the Batesville Southside Public Water Authority intake structure and water line from bank erosion.
The documents are a Draft Feasibility Report, a Draft Environmental Assessment and a Draft Finding of No Significant Impact. The draft documents indicate the proposed work would cause no significant adverse effects to the human environment, and an Environmental Impact Statement would not be required.
Copies of the reports are available for review between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Monday through Friday at the White River Regional Library at 368 East Main Street in Batesville or at the Little Rock District Office in Room 7403 of the Federal Building at 700 W. Capitol Ave. in Little Rock.
