Brother-in-law talks about Giffords shooting

(KOLD) - Scott Kelly, brother-in-law of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, spoke about how hard it was to be in space for six months, especially during a horrific time for his family.

He was unable to be with his twin brother, Mark, and his sister-in-law in the wake of the Jan. 8 shootings in Tucson.

"The low was when Gabby was shot," he said. "Shocking, tragic."

He said he tried his best to speak with his brother daily over the satellite phone, but nothing will compare to seeing him face to face at home in Houston.
