Circus promotes literacy with children

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The circus came to the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library Wednesday morning and they brought with them some learning material for children.

The Ringling Brothers Ambassadors of Laughter stopped by and joined forces with the library staff to promote literacy with the children by entertaining them with some of their act and reading a story to the kids.

"If you see clowns reading a story book, it must be really important." says Kay Taylor, Youth Services Director at the library, "Even clowns read, everybody has to read." Taylor adds that it is a wonderful opportunity for a fun activity for the whole family.

"The Greatest Show on Earth" will at the Convocation Center April 29 through May 1 if you want in on the fun, tickets are on sale now.
