UPDATE: Police identify victim of deadly car crash

UPDATE

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro woman died Friday when the car she was riding in was hit by a pickup truck.

According to Jonesboro police, 72-year-old Donald Strickland was attempting to turn left onto Old Greensboro Road off East Johnson Avenue when his 2007 Toyota Camry was hit by a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 24-year-old Gary Gray of Paragould.

69-year-old Brenda Strickland was killed.

Gray and Donald Strickland were taken to St. Bernards Medical Center.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro Police tell Region 8 news one person is dead and two injured after a car accident at U.S. 49 North (Johnson Ave.) and Highway 351 (Old Greensboro Road).

According to police on the scene, a car was traveling east on US 49 and turned into the path of a west bound truck.  The car was turning onto Highway 351.  The passenger of the car died in the accident.  The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital. 

Names of those involved in the accident have not been released.
