Alltel Among Companies To Adopt Voluntary Code To Improve Service

September 9, 2003 - Posted at: 3:44 p.m. CDT

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Little Rock-based Alltel Corporation is among cellular companies adopting a list of guidelines aimed at improving customer service.  The new rules could head off possible government regulations.

The ten-point code is designed to give customers more information about wireless services and rate plans.

Alltel says the code reaffirms the company's policies for how customers should be treated.
