CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Firefighters say a light fixture is to blame for a mobile home fire Thursday afternoon in Craighead County.
According to the Brookland Fire Department, the fire started around 4:30 Thursday afternoon at 7235 Highway 351.
Firefighters say flames could be seen coming from the roof of the mobile home when they arrived. They believe the fire was started by a light fixture in the kitchen area of the home. The Brookland Fire Chief says major damage was done to the kitchen area of the home.
Fire officials say one person was home at the time, and made it out unharmed. No other injuries were reported.
Brookland Fire Department arrived on scene a few minutes after the call and was able to contain the fire to the kitchen area. The Philadelphia Fire Department also provided fire help.
