Jonesboro leaders make "bail" calls to friends for charity

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  Several Jonesboro business and civic leaders were making phone calls to "bail" them out of "jail" to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Thursday, the "Jail and Bail" fundraiser was hosted by Piero's Restaurant and Club where about one hundred people made calls to friends, family and co-workers to help "bail" them out by making donations.

Jonesboro's Dispatch Center joined forces with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to put on the event.  All of the money raised will go to the MDA, which currently helps around one thousand people in the tri-state area.

The MDA is the number one research provider for ALS and other muscular diseases.
