MAUMELLE, Ark. --A judge in Maumelle says he has modified his display of the Ten Commandments that are posted in his courtroom.
The new display incorporates other historical documents.
A Virginia-based civil liberties group announced District Judge David Pake had made the changes, and Pake confirms he has changed the display.
The changes comes in light of the legal battle over a Ten Commandments monument in Alabama.
The Rutherford Institute says Pake has added the Declaration of Independence and selections from historic legal codes.
Critics said Pake's display of the Ten Commandments promoted one religion over another in a state building.
