WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) – A Lawrence County probationer who disappeared is back in Region 8 to face charges.

Lawrence County sheriff's deputies traveled all the way to Los Angeles to collect 23-year-old Joshua Morris of Hoxie.

According to Sheriff Jody Dotson, in January Morris was captured on video breaking into a cabin on Spring River near Imboden.  At the time, Dotson says Morris was on probation for committing similar crimes last fall.

A warrant was issued for Morris.  Those warrants showed up on his record when he was arrested in California recently on misdemeanor drug charges.

Morris was extradited back to Lawrence County.  He appeared before a judge and charged with theft of property, criminal mischief, residential burglary and probation absconding.  His bond was set at $10,000 cash.  He's scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on April 27.  Morris will also be charged with the expense of the trip to pick him up.
