Corps seeks comments on riverbank work

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (USACE) -- The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking public comments through April 30 on environmental documents relating to a riverbank protection work on the White River at the Highway 58 bridge near Guion, Ark.

The proposed work would protect the bridge from bank erosion.

The documents are a Draft Feasibility Report, a Draft Environmental Assessment and a Draft Finding of No Significant Impact.  These draft documents conclude repair work would cause no significant adverse effects to the human environment, and an Environmental Impact Statement would not be required.

A copy of the documents will be available for review between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the White River Regional Library located at 368 East Main Street, in Batesville or at the Little Rock District Office in Room 7403 of the Federal Building at 700 W. Capitol Ave. in Little Rock.
