United Way Silent Auction

Today at the Indian mall goods are going to the highest bidder and the proceeds go to the United Way.

The United Way of Greater Jonesboro held a silent auction where shoppers placed bids on items, hoping to take them home.

The United Way is a non profit organization and local businesses donated items like a signed Grisley jersey, Home Decor and an evening on the town with K8's own Sports director, Daryl Hobby.

This year the organization has nearly reached its goal of $5,000.

Program organizer Susan Alston says the community has really pulled together for this event.

The United Way serves over 50,000 people annually, right here in Northeast Arkansas.
