JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - It's time to lace up your walking shoes and get ready to help bring awareness to premature births. In a couple of weeks you could be a part of a march held every year to save babies.
Tuesday afternoon team captains for the March of Dimes walk held a rally to make sure they have all of the material they need before the big day. The march is a fundraiser to raise money to support programs that help mom's have healthy pregnancies and
"It raises awareness for premature births. Premature births are the number one reason for infant mortality in the world," said Paul Betz, Chairman of the March for Babies.
The walk in Jonesboro will happen April 30th at 10 a.m. with registration starting at 9 a.m. at Craighead Forest Park.
