Mission Outreach in Paragould celebrates new addition

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Mission Outreach in Paragould recently transformed their old storage area into a learning center.

The center, constructed primarily to give children a place to study, is equipped with computers as well as a book center to aid children with their school work.

However, Volunteer Coordinator, Shawntae Templeton says anyone is welcome to use their new facility.

"We are actually going to open this up for the community so any child that's in this area, a lot of them walk around here for dinner at night, so they can come here and use this as well," Templeton said.

For now, the learning center will be open from 2p.m. to 5p.m., but Templeton said those hours aren't set in stone.
