LITTLE ROCK, AR (AP) - Both of Arkansas' senators have voted in favor of a budget deal to prevent a partial government shutdown.
Democrat Mark Pryor and Republican John Boozman (BOSE'-man) supported a deal to keep the federal government open. The deal cut $39 billion from last year's spending levels.
In a statement, Pryor said Thursday the budget makes hard decisions that are needed to fix America's fiscal situation. He says lawmakers need to show voters they can address long-term challenges.
