FAYETTEVILLE (NWAOnline.com) - Arkansas linebacker Ross Rasner was arrested Friday morning and charged with possession of a controlled substance and as a minor in possession of alcohol, according to the Washington County Detention Center website.
Rasner, 19, was arrested by the University of Arkansas Police Department and booked in the Washington County Detention Center at 1:22 a.m. His bail was set at $825.
Other details surrounding his arrest were not immediately known.
Rasner is the fifth member of Arkansas' football team to be arrested since last June and third charged with possession of an illegal substance since October.
Defensive tackle DeQuinta Jones was arrested in October after he was found with marijuana during a traffic stop near campus. Wide receiver Lance Ray was arrested in January after neighbors complained of smelling a marijuana odor coming from his dorm room.
Jones was suspended one game. Ray has not practiced with the Razorbacks this spring.
The arrest will likely keep Rasner from participating in Arkansas' spring Red-White Game Saturday afternoon. Rasner was listed as a linebacker for the Red team.
