Corey Leonard invited to BC Lions training camp

VANCOUVER (KAIT) - ASU alum Corey Leonard will have a chance to ply his trade in the CFL.

He was at a free agent tryout this weekend with the British Columbia Lions. According to News 1130 out of Vancouver, the Lions will sign Leonard for training camp. He'll join ASU alum Daylan Walker on the roster.

It continues a ASU/BC connection. At last year's training camp, former Red Wolves Dominique Williams, Stanley Wakwe, and Darren Toney all vied for opening day spots.

Leonard will battle three other quarterbacks for the top spot. If he succeeds, he'll join Cleo Lemon as starting signal-callers in Canada.

BC Lions Training camp starts June 5th.
