Red Wolves seeded 4th in SBC Women's Tennis Championship

JONESBORO (ASU) – The Arkansas State women's tennis team has
secured the No. 4 seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming Sun Belt
Conference Championship at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.,
the league announced Tuesday.

The Red Wolves finished the season at 9-6 overall and posted a 3-4
record when playing conference opponents.  A-State saw a five-match
win streak midseason, and freshman Biljana Miloshevska strung together
a 12-match singles win streak to lead the team with an overall 13-2
singles record.

Florida International earned the No. 1 seed, while Louisiana-Monroe
sits at No. 2.  Louisiana-Lafayette will enter the tournament in the
No. 3 spot, and ASU rounded out the teams with first-round byes.

ASU will play the winner between No. 12 Western Kentucky and No. 5
Florida Atlantic Friday, April 22 at 9:00 a.m.  Should ASU advance,
the Red Wolves would play again in the semi-final round Saturday at
9:00 a.m., and the championship match is set for Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
