WYNNE, Ark. -- The chief economic developer for Cross County says the city of Wynne is one of two finalists being considered for an auto parts manufacturing plant.
Bill Thomas says Wynne is in competition with Brownsville, Tennessee.
The proposed plant would manufacture rear-view mirrors, door handles, and various other component parts. Thomas says the plant would supply auto assembly facilities around the country.
Thomas would not name the company scouting for locations. He says the firm wants to start production for the 2005 model automobiles.
Thomas says he expects a decision within the next few months.
