One year later, Gulf region continues to rebuild

GULF OF MEXICO (KAIT) - It's been one year since an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig killed 11 workers and sent millions of gallons of oil leaking into the Gulf of Mexico.

The broken pipe at the bottom of the ocean couldn't be capped for weeks and even more oil went into the gulf, devastating both wildlife and the fishing economy of the area.
