Missing man found alive

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - A Sliver Alert in Randolph County has been canceled after a missing 70-year old man is found alive.

According to Randolph County Sheriffs Department Dispatch, Silas Chandler Morris has been found and is okay. Officers say Morris was found safely in his apartment after he was last reported to be seen in Mclean, Texas when he was pulled over for a traffic citation.

Investigators say they don't know why he was in Texas or when he came back, but they were finally able to find him by tracking cell phone signals.

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) -- On Wednesday Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble issued a Silver Alert for a missing man.

Silas Chandler Morris is described as a 70-year-old man, standing 6'1" and weighing 210 pounds.  He has gray hair and green eyes.  He was last seen wearing a Cavenaugh camouflage baseball cap, blue jeans and a long-sleeved green and brown plaid shirt.

Sheriff Tribble says Morris may be driving a 2003 red Pontiac Grand Am with a spoiler and tinted windows.

Anyone having information on Morris' whereabouts is urged to call the Randolph County Sheriff's Department at 870-892-888.
