WASHINGTON, DC (KAIT) – The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling almost 10,000 Disney princess Plastic Trikes due to a laceration hazard.

According to the CPSC, the Disney princess Plastic Racing Trike is being recalled because the plastic castle and the princess figures protruding from the top of the handlebar pose a laceration hazard.

Kiddieland Toys Limited and the CPSC have received 3 reports of children suffering facial lacerations from these items.

The trikes have been sold at target, JCPenny, Meijer, and H.E.B. store nationwide from January 2009 through April 2011.

The CPSP recommends taking the trikes away from your children immediately and contacting Kiddieland for a free replacement handlebar.
