SEATTLE (National Football Post) - Arkansas State free safety M.D. Jennings has visited the Seattle Seahawks and the St. Louis Rams and has conducted private workouts for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers and the Carolina Panthers, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
The 6-foot, 190-pound safety is being projected by some teams as having positional flexibility between safety and cornerback because of his range and ball skills.
The All-Sun Belt Conference selection is drawing middle-round to late-round attention.
He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds and has posted a 35 1/2 inch vertical leap and a 10-5 broad jump with a 4.27 short shuttle and a 7.23 three-cone drill.
As a junior, he was first-team all-conference as he averaged 5.8 tackles per game, knocked down six passes, intercepted one pass and recovered three fumbles.
Jennings intercepted three passes as a sophomore, forcing one fumble with 67 tackles, three for losses.
He was also recruited by Mississippi, Southern Miss and Mississippi State.
