Jonesboro police officer arrested

A Jonesboro police officer is busted on a charge of bribery.

Bobby Engle, a patrolman with the Jonesboro police department was arrested yesterday on a charge of public servant bribery, which is a Class D felony.

A probable cause hearing was held before Judge Lee Fergus.

Judge Fergus set bond in the amount of $5,000.00.

The file will be turned over to the Craighead County prosecutor's office and Engle is scheduled to appear in circuit court October 31st.
