JPD arrest man after finding $10,000 worth of drugs

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Jonesboro man is locked up in the Craighead County Detention Center after officers say they found about $10,000 worth of drugs at his home.

On Tuesday members of the Jonesboro Police Department's PROWL Unit, along with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force, served a search warrant at an apartment in the Caraway Commons.

During the search, officers say they found approximately one ounce of crack cocaine, 1.8 ounces of powdered cocaine, three ounces of marijuana, 32 tablets of Ecstasy, 25 Xanax tablets and two sets of digital scales.  Officers put the estimated street value of the drugs at approximately $10,000.

Officers say they also found a .25 caliber Raven Arms semi-automatic pistol and $1,240 in cash.

Investigators arrested 42-year-old George Ware.  He is expected to appear before a judge on Wednesday.
