Animal rescuers help those with pets affected by disasters

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  Those affected by recent flooding and severe weather in Region 8 can receive some relief when it comes to their pets.

The Northeast Arkansans for Animals (NAFA) organization has established an emergency distribution system of supplies for individuals whose pets are affected by storms and floods.

Victims can receive free dog or cat food, cat litter and treats.  NAFA will also loan out crates and carriers as well as leashes and collars.

Distribution of supplies will begin April 30th and continue for the next several weeks to a month, depending on the need.
