ASU launches new technology center

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Arkansas State University launches new technology center for faculty and students to boost virtual presence.

Thursday the Center for Digital Initiatives (CDI) had its soft opening at ASU.  The new center will allow both students and staff to be able to do research through virtual environments.  They will also be able to teach and host interactive virtual sites.

CDI Director Dr. Alyson Gill says that she hopes the center will keep ASU on the forefront of digital technologies.  CDI is funded through the university, and Dr. Gill says that grants are being written to help support the center.
