BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Lyon College is on it's way to rebuilding it's student center and dining hall after a fire in October destroyed them.

The fire destroyed Edwards Commons which housed student life offices, a book store, The Lyon Den Snack Bar, and a game room in addition to the dining hall. Students and administration expressed a desire to see a modern, energy efficient structure yet keep a similar look to the other buildings on campus.

Architects spent last week meeting with students, faculty and staff to find out what they would like to have in the new building.

The cause of the fire in Edwards Commons has yet to be determined.
