RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – The SUV of a woman who has been missing since early Tuesday morning has been found, but there are still no signs of her.

The Walnut Ridge Police Chief discovered 31-year-old Jana Chastain's SUV around 8 a.m. Thursday morning off Hwy 67 between Pocahontas and the Lawrence County line.

The SUV was pulled from the swift waters in a flooded field near Pocahontas. After pulling the vehicle from the water, Arkansas State Police verified that the white SUV was in fact the 2003 Lincoln Aviator that Chastain had been driving.

ASP Investigators say nothing was found inside the car, and there is still no clue on her whereabouts. Police say only about 8 inches of her SUV was above the flood waters. Police told Region 8 News that other materials were found in close proximity to the SUV. Police have not said if the materials found belong to Chastain.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Chastain had a tire fixed in Sedgwick around 2:30 Tuesday morning. Investigators say Chastain weighs about 120 pounds and is 5 feet 6 inches tall with long brown hair. If you see her or know of her whereabouts you're asked to contact your local police department.

Region 8 News will continue to track this story and bring you any new details as soon as they become available.
