LITTLE ROCK, Ark.  --Former Arkansas congressman Asa Hutchinson visited his home state in his current capacity as undersecretary for homeland security -- and he announced a 12 (m) million dollar project for the state.

Arkansas received the largest grant of 19 states selected for construction projects by the U-S Department of Homeland Security. The money will fund a 30-thousand-square-foot, three-story building to replace the state's outdated Emergency Operations Center in Conway.

The city of Conway also received a two (m) million dollar grant to join 16 other mid-sized cities across the nation in a pilot program to allow emergency personnel from police to medics to communicate with each other in emergencies.
