Clinton Returns to Arkansas Today

September 26, 2003 - Posted at: 8:06 a.m. CDT

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Former President Clinton is expected at a Little Rock middle school today.

Clinton plans to announce a new partnership with Ember Media and the Princeton Review to provide free tutoring for the Scholastic Aptitude Test and other college entrance exams.

The announcement is scheduled at Dunbar Magnet Middle School.

In an e-mail to the Associated Press, Clinton said he has made it part of his foundation's mission to help students go to college and develop leadership skills.

The New York-based Princeton Review is a New York-based company that provides tutoring for half the students entering college each year, says John Katzman, it's founder and chief executive officer.

The new entrance exam preparation program will include instructor training, after-school tutoring, curriculum development and on-line test preparation.

Clinton Foundation officials say the program is set to start in Little Rock and then will be made available at reduced costs in nine other cities: Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Washington.
