WASHINGTON, DC (KAIT) – The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling some lawnmower engines because of a laceration hazard.
According to the CPSC, Kohler Courage Engines is recalling several popular lawnmower engines because of a wire connector that can come loose causing the operators seat switch to fail. When this happens the blades don't shut off, which poses a laceration hazard.
There have been no reports of incident or injuries.
These lawnmowers have been sold at Lowes, Tractor Supply Company, authorized Cub Cadet Dealers between February 2011 and April 2011.
The CPSC is telling consumers to stop using this product immediately and contact the manufacture for a free replacement.
