BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT)- Baxter County officials are investigating the death of a woman whose car was found in Bull Shoals Lake.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the lake Sunday afternoon after two fisherman found a submerged car.

Deputies found a white 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier at the end of Leawood Drive near Lakeview.  After pulling the car out, investigators say they determine that the body inside the car was that of 30-year-old Angela Darlene Becker of Mountain Home.

Authorities say that a preliminary investigation indicates Becker died from drowning early Sunday morning.  Investigators determined that Becker's vehicle drove down the steep incline of Leawood Drive and into the lake.  However, investigators say they do no know if she had intentionally or accidentally drove the car into Bull Shoals Lake.

According to the news release, witnesses say Becker was at a residence in the area around midnight, became upset and left about an hour later.

The victim's body is being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the official cause of death.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information on this incident to call their office at (870) 425-7000.
