Traffic stop in Cross County yields multiple drug charges

CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A traffic stop in Cross County lands one man in jail facing a host of drug charges.

According to the Cross County Sheriff's Department, Aaron Dewayne Watson of Augusta was arrested Saturday after a traffic stop revealed multiple drug items.

Watson is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (meth), simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, obstructing government operations, driving on a suspended license, and defective equipment (windshield).

A judge set Watson's bond at $25,000.
